IGP Côtes de Gascogne

Domaine des Frères Laffitte

“Welcome home, welcome to Gascony! »

Our family has been cultivating this land from generation to generation forever - as far back as the written records tell. The Estate will experience a new boom under our leadership. Passionate about vines and wine, we have gradually built an ideal vineyard, capable of expressing all the richness and complexity of our terroir. Our Wines and Armagnacs reflect our souls: straightforward, authentic and generous.

“The best grapes make the best wines”

For each plot, an adapted technical itinerary. The whites are made from Colombard, Gros and Petit Manseng as well as Sauvignon Blanc, Gris and Chardonnay. For Rosés and Reds, we grow Cabernet Franc and Tannat. By conviction, we cultivate our vines in a traditional way in the respect of our environment which is dear to us. Every year we sow green manure to limit winter erosion and increase soil fertility. All our work pursues one and only objective - to produce the best grapes.

"All our work pursues one and only goal - to produce the best grapes."

- Christophe and Sebastien Laffitte

“The signature of our wines”

Our vines are planted on the highest hills of AYZIEU, on the borders of Gascony, also nicknamed

“Little Tuscany” for its hilly and varied landscapes. Our terroir, very typical of Bas Armagnac, is essentially composed of “tawny sands” on the surface and “terrebouc” in the basements. These two very special elements give our wines minerality, freshness and power. The climate benefits from the influence of the Atlantic Ocean and the Pyrenees chain. Our rainy and mild winters quickly give way to hot and dry summers followed by a beautiful autumn. This very special climate gives our vineyard an exceptional ripening potential and ensures the production of red wines marked by very ripe fruit.
